Prepare the marinade (20 minutes)
In a mixing bowl, combine the yoghurt, ground cumin, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Marinate the lamb
Add the lamb shoulder cubes to the marinade. Stir to coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight.
Thread lamb onto skewers
Thread the marinated lamb cubes evenly onto metal or soaked wooden skewers.
Cook the lamb skewers (15 minutes)
Place the skewers over direct heat on a hot firepit or charcoal grill. Grill for 12 to 15 minutes, turning regularly until cooked through and charred at the edges.
Rest the lamb skewers (5 minutes)
Remove from the grill and rest the skewers for 5 minutes before serving.
