Combine the ingredients
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Mix thoroughly with a fork until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Season and shape
Season with sea salt flakes and a few grinds of black pepper. For a log shape, transfer the butter to a piece of parchment paper, roll it into a cylinder, and twist the ends to seal. Otherwise, pack it into a small ramekin.
Chill and serve
